Beautifully Simple Technology

The heart of the SampleStream platform is a small fluidic channel that incorporates a molecular weight cutoff membrane. Combined with bullet-proof and time tested syringe pumps and valves, this channel operates in one of two modes.

Liquid Chromatography, Replaced.

  • Low pressure operation (<30 bar)

  • Driven by low maintenance syringe pumps
  • Single membrane good for >1,000 analyses
  • High membrane area enables high wash volume in comparison to liquid chromatography

Flows entering from two inlet ports cause solutes retained by the membrane to accumulate at the point of zero axial flow.

Sample Elution

Reverse flow across the membrane, with one inlet port blocked, lifts samples from the membrane and directs them out of the channel for downstream processing.
